Less Hate, More Love

As you begin your fitness journey, you’ll begin to discover that there’s more to “losing weight” than merely dieting and exercising regularly. Going through a lifestyle change like the one required to achieve lasting fitness requires so much more. It’s about so much more than just getting smaller and feeling healthier.

 

It’s about challenging your beliefs, and everything you think you know about yourself. You’ll discover along the way that you’re stronger than you thought. You’ll learn that you’ve been carrying the weight of other people’s feelings, doubts, and off-handed comments for years. You’ll drop more than just the physical weight. You’ll drop emotional weight on your fitness journey, too.

 

Today I challenge you to focus less on the negatives, and more on the positive. Focus less on distractions and planning for the “right” time to get started. Use more of your willpower and self-discipline to start today, despite your excuses. Stop worrying that you’re not good enough, or doubting that you can see your journey through to the end. Instead, have hope that you are capable of more than you think. Believe that you will see it through to the end, and how good the hard work will feel.
