Chief Exercise Officer With Christina Relke

EPISODE SUMMARY

Today On Incite Podcast we have with us Christina Relke, a good friend of Mauro he met at a weekend seminar. Before becoming a trainer Christina had a background in psychology. Psychology is probably the most important thing to help yourself tune into the motivation and create action to achieve your goals.

Christina was brought up together with her two sisters in a setting where  health and fitness was a lifestyle. She grew up around movements having a footballer as a father and a dancer as a mum. Her life pretty much revolved around eating right and fitness. This eventually influenced her to study precision nutrition.

We journey through the life story with Christina Relke, the CEO of Relke Fitness.

Not a CEO overnight, as she had and still has tons of ideas she wants to implement and still intend on doing so. She sometimes picks up interest and completely stops pursuing them due to ADHD but has still been able to achieve a lot regardless.

She tells us how she built her own company over quarantine and how she accomplishes what she has now. Every story has its unique situation and completing a degree in psychology and having hopes of using it in a special way had become a reality; also a computer programmer and having her own hybrid model of online training app.

Christina reiterates it’s one thing to put out  content and another thing to bring evidence based scientific training to help people to achieve their goals.

A puking moment in her first coaching session had her wanting to be a trainer and do things right .  She struggled with her weight and even though she turned to the gym, she was disappointed and crushed. No genuine and individualistic goal was planned for her, treated like everyone else, she walked away from the ‘experts’.

She admonishes us to make it a priority to be advocates for our own body to get us back to moving well and looking good.

Not the usual coach, Christina uses her scope of practice and initiates it within her coaching tactics, advocating for the needs of each individual. As she inspires us to be the better version of ourselves, listen in on the real importance of constantly improving our mind and body.

QUOTES

“We all want to look good, and at the end of the day we do what we do preach; we

want to look good, feel good.”

“It is difficult to really be out there but authenticity is key.”

“Now that I have taken the time to basically be a bat, stay in my lair, sit and figure out these things and how I wanted to do it; now from here, it’s full steam ahead, just making sure that everyone is able to learn how to work out with confidence. But also do it in a way that is serving their true self and is authentic to them rather than to be a cookie-cutter programmer image of someone else.”
