There’s Always that ONE Thing with Craig

Today we have with us on the Incite Change Podcast, Craig Nisbet.  He is a colleague of Coach Mauro from the Muscle Intelligence Mentorship, here to share his journey to becoming a coach, and navigating not only a new career but a new country in the midst of a Pandemic.

Growing up In Scotland, young Craig didn’t take a liking to sports. He tells us his journey of becoming a coach was one more of a self-discovery. He kept trying out new things, found what helped, and is now passing it on to other people. Along the way, he had second thoughts of giving up on health and fitness, and even had experts he reached out to fail him. Soon he realized the best coaches, do not always have the best genetics, and are not necessarily gifted in a way better than others.

Craig is here right now, and has been where you have been. He shares the story of his weight loss and fitness journey. In his teenage years, he went on a rollercoaster of emotions and fears of never being healthy and meeting his target weight. Craig divulges his insecurities in high school, his experience with developing gynecomastia, and gaining a lot of weight. He felt as though people were always giving him second glances due to his weight. He set out to see if he could get passed his fear. He signed up with gym professionals as a teen, who then shattered his confidence and failed him further. Craig then transitioned to a less active lifestyle because of this sense of failure.

Mr. Nisbet speaks of how he rose to the occasion, found his place in the health and fitness lifestyle, persevered to become the best version of himself, which has allowed him to push others who have been in his position.

If you feel sick at the thought of walking into a gym, but really want to improve your fitness, then learn how he went from insecure and afraid to being his own gym coach.
